Committee members and Professors welcomed chief guest of the event Mr. Milind Gawade the former joint secretary of Maharashtra (IAS) Marathi Department. The event started with Ganeshvandana and lighting of lamp. Then the hosts of the event introduced to the Chief Guest about the SVKM and our college. Then the hosts of the event called our chief guest on the stage for felicitating him and also called upon the stage Prof. Rajadhyax and Prof. Chhaya J. Shah to felicitate our chief guest. Then our chief guest motivated and encouraged us for using Marathi language in the field of Law through their speech. They also told us through their speech, why we celebrate the Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas?

After the felicitation and speech of the chief guest all performances were started. The participants tried to highlight the rich culture and tradition of the Maharashtra through their performances. Each and every performance shows and gives the valuable message to the audience about the Maharashtrian Culture and tradition. The performances includes Speech related to the Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Diwas, Abhang, Lavani, Mangalagaur, Dance performances, poems and songs related to Marathi Bhasha, Bharud, Drama and Comedy Letter etc. The drama named “Runanubandh” which was written and directed by Mr. Akshay Bowalekar and very well performed by the members had touched the emotions of the audience and made them speechless. The Bharud written and presented by our Prof. Sushma Ma’am gives lots of messages to the audience related to the organ donation, healthy food habits and Environment Protection. There was around 15 Alumni present for the event and some of them was participated in dance and music. Prof. Sushma Ma’am felicitate all the alumni who were present for the event. Not only the students and alumni but also our Professors performed at the event. Prof. Sushma Ma’am, Prof. Navnitha Ma’am, Prof. Sneha Ma’am, Prof. Chhaya Ma’am and Prof. Sharmila Ma’am sang three songs. All other participants performed very well and the event ends with the song named “Jay Jay Maharashtra Majha” which was sung by Members of the Marathi Vangmay Mandal.
